(Asheville, NC) – McGuire, Wood & Bissette, P.A. announces the election of attorney Peter Kanipe as a shareholder of the firm effective February 1, 2017. To be considered for this honor a selected attorney must display a high rate of success in their area of law, demonstrate a progressive influence within the firm and maintain substantial local community involvement.
Peter focuses his practice on commercial real estate, development and local government matters. He has represented the City of Asheville in the acquisition of multiple properties and sidewalk easements as well as local banks and rectifying real property title issues.
Peter is the past President of the Asheville Community Theatre and has previously served as a member on the Executive Committee for the 28th Judicial District Bar, and on the board of directors for the Arc of Buncombe County.
