Pisgah Legal’s Jazz for Justice will feature gourmet food and drink, live jazz entertainment by The Rich Willey Jazz Band, special remarks from Gene Nichol, distinguished UNC Law School Professor of Law, and an award ceremony to honor our supporters dedicated to providing free civil legal aid to those in need. Tickets are still available until April 11th for this fun and important event.
Over the past 40 years, Pisgah Legal Services has grown from a small group of volunteer attorneys to an essential nonprofit serving 15,000+ people each year in WNC, a staunch advocate for social change that takes on difficult problems that cause or exacerbate poverty in our mountain communities. Here are a few highlights from the past four decades.
MWB has a long history of supporting Pisgah Legal Services. For decades our attorneys have been serving mountain area clients pro-bono through PLS, serving on the board and providing practical legal counsel when needed. We are endlessly proud to share in the history of this vital Western North Carolina organization.
