Nishma Patel

Nishma’s practice focuses on civil litigation disputes in state and federal court. Prior to joining McGuire Wood & Bissette, Nishma served as a felony prosecutor and tried hundreds of cases to verdict. As an experienced trial attorney, Nishma provides responsive, practical advice and assists clients in resolving their disputes through negotiation, mediation, and litigation. In addition to her courtroom advocacy, Nishma helps clients navigate the complex federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting their businesses. Prior to becoming an attorney, Nishma spent seven years with a pharmaceutical company helping to maintain their intellectual property and ensure audit compliance.
